Pet Friendly at The Speech House Hotel

As animal lovers, we are delighted to welcome your four-legged friends to The Speech House Hotel, to our perfect destination in Gloucestershire for you and your pet. Our hunting lodge set in the heart of the idyllic Royal Forest of Dean, in the centre of a tranquil forest environment is ideal for exploring with your dog.

Pet friendly rooms are those in our Courtyard Rooms, except for our Courtyard Four Posters. These rooms are accessed from the car park and are modern and compact with en-suite shower rooms. Ideal for those guests who are out and about exploring the area and wish to bring their four-legged friend. There is a £15 charge per dog per night.

Our Pet Policy at The Speech House

♠ Guests are permitted to have a max of 2 pets in their room at any given time, this is based on staying in our specific pet-friendly rooms.
♠ The charge per dog is £15 per night, which includes the use of a food and water bowl, dog towel and rug during your stay.
♠ Guests are advised to bring their own dog food (we can provide a small fridge in room, subject to availability) and accessories such as their favourite bed, bowl etc. to make your pet feel at home.
♠ If you have a medium or large size dog, we suggest you give us a call, to ensure you have a comfortable sized room.
♠ All pets should be well-trained (including recall), well-mannered and disease-free.
♠ For their safety and the comfort of all guests, your pet cannot be left alone in any public space at any time.
♠ Pets are permitted in the Orangery, Bar and Reception areas. We do not allow pets in the Verderers’ Court, or Edwin Tauber Suite
♠ The Speech House Hotel does not accept responsibility in any way for your pet while they are on property and all supervision, feeding and walking of your pet is your responsibility.
♠ Guests are asked to pick up any deposits left by pets immediately and disposed of appropriately.
♠ All pets should be kept on a leash when in public areas.
♠ None of the bedrooms in the Main House are pet friendly. If you would like to discuss the options for our pet friendly rooms, please contact reservations.
♠ If there is a dog in the room at the time of servicing, our housekeeping team won’t enter the room.
♠ Pets that are deemed to be a nuisance or danger to other hotel guests must be removed from the premises immediately. The hotel reserves the right to make this decision at any time.
