What Ed’s Walks from the Speech House have to offer:
Spring Early Bird Walk – March / April / May
The Forest is home to over 40 types of breeding woodland bird from Wood Warblers to Blackcaps and Mistle Thrushes to Nuthatches. Many sing early in the morning to proclaim their nesting area and protect their mate. This is the perfect time to be out listening to the birds, when they are all singing together. Along with Ed’s pictures of the birds and a special Bird Pen – to help you know which bird he is referring to – this is the ideal way of waking up to the Forest before a full breakfast spread, tea and coffee.
Owl and Bat Evening Walk – late Summer months
Usually starting early evening into dark, from between 7.00pm and 7.45pm and including some star gazing – subject to weather.
Other dates may be available and bookable on request.
